Curry Todd is a Republican State Lawmaker who was first elected in 1998. During his time in office, Curry Todd has served with distinction. He has been a member of the House State Government Committee, the House Business and Utilities Committee, the House Business and Utilities Subcommittee, and the Tennessee Peace Officers and Training Commission. Curry Todd was appointed by Tennessee Governor Lamar Alexander to develop, plan and implement uniform standards of employment, training and certification for police officers in the state.
Curry Todd was elected by the Peace Officers Standard Training Commission (POST) to develop and implement police legislation with the Tennessee General Assembly, and stayed in that position from 1981 to 1987. He has served on Legislative Study Committees in the Tennessee General assembly in the area of corrections and criminal justice, and served as the Chairperson of the subcommittee on development of law enforcement legislation.
